Resonance and Maturity

In my bones, in your bones and yet we have to intentionally cultivate our relationship to them. In the western world adolescent orientation is normalised, accepted, even celebrated. Maturity is found at the edges and in the cracks and under the bridges. Resonance, which is a deep abiding integrity and dignity lays far below the surface. Restoring our personal resonance is an adult undertaking because we were born with it and then western colonialised conditioning happened. Which is what trauma arises from and we all have it. There are skill-sets we can learn and practice that, over time, become default that can orient us to what is right and true and real. Resonance can be heard, seen, tasted, known. It is one of our senses that the noise of modernity has attempted to obliterate. It requires our full presence and a deep practice of what I call 'paying attention'. Simply paying attention to what is real and good and right and true. And not asking anyone what those things are but living them in our own direct experience. I run a circle every year, a year long group practice and community engagement circle to faciliate and practice the skill-sets of adulthood, which I call resonance. In the coming days I will be sharing some of our stories.
